"I am shyer than most people think" - Kristen Wiig

"I’m not married, I frequently use my debit card to buy things that cost less than three dollars, and my bedroom is so untidy it looks like vandals ransacked the Anthropologie sale section. I’m kind of a mess."

Kate started performing sketch comedy at UCB in 2008, and worked with house sketch teams High Treason, Beneath Gristedes, Tremendous Machine, and Gramps.  She also starred in the solo shows Disenchanted, Best Actress, and Kate McKinnon on Ice at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.  Her solo shows were met with rave reviews.  Time Out New York called Kate, “A hilarious physical actor who is also smart and funny enough to write for herself,” in their review of Kate McKinnon on Ice (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/comedy/review-kate-mckinnon-on-ice).

Kate has been featured in a number of online sketches, including the UCB Comedy hits Deathers Ask: Is Obama Alive, BP Spills Coffee, and Animated Stories.  Kate was named one of Flavorwire’s “Most Interesting People on TV Right Now,” and one of The Jane Dough’s “30 Under 35: Female Comedians to Watch” in 2013.  In 2012, Kate was one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30.  That’s pretty freakin’ cool.  Kate is an awesome writer, performer, comedian, and person, and that’s why she’s UCB Comedy’s #WCW!!

Be sure to check out Kate’s UCB Comedy profile:  http://ucbcomedy.com/user/9402 and watch her on Saturday Night Live, every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC!
